SIERRA MOMS COLLECTED HUNDREDS OF TOYS FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

Each year Sierra Moms participates in the Gifts from the Heart program by collecting and processing toys for hundreds of children identified by Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services, Child Protective Services. Collection begins during the week of Thanksgiving and cumulates at one home for processing. Sierra Moms delivered gifts to nearly 150 children in need this holiday season. Photos by Kathy Walker.

Sierra Moms has a tradition of serving the community. During the last four years Sierra Moms has brightened Christmas for more than 600 children who might not otherwise receive gifts during the holidays.

aww this is a great thing. I am a single mom,and I know how tough it is during the holidays. I wish I would of known about this program,but I know it's too late. I had went thru the Salvation Army for my kiddo. My sister has 3 kids,and it's hard to buy for all 3,on top of bills,schooling,gas,etc,
